Therapeutic Movement
Through out history, movement has been used as an important mode of self-expression and healing, engaging the mind\body\spirit holistically. While most therapy modalities are designed to address only specific problems, movement therapy is used across the board to treat and prevent a huge spectrum of issues including; ADD\ADHD, physical challenges, depression, anxiety, post tramatic stress disorder, autism, behavior issues, bullying, social skills...

Therapeutic movement at Harmony Arts is based on philosophy and principles from the clinical model of Integrated Movement Therapy (IMT) and uses a mix of kung fu, tumbling, dance, yoga, self-defense and relaxation techniques to engage clients holistically in mind, body and spirit.
Confidential sessions are designed to meet needs that can not be adequately addressed in our mainstream programs.
Instructors work with individuals or small groups on goals specific to clients needs. Age appropriate games, discussions, written assignments and art projects will enhance the skills taught.
