ABOUT US

 Tristan Elliott - Director \ Head Instructor, combines an eclectic background of movement and healing arts, as well as clinical training, and a passion for teaching diverse, special needs, and under-served populations.

Tristan has taught, developed, and created curriculum for a broad range of movement based programs locally and internationally, many of which have been combined with clinical/therapeutic work. Recent partnerships include; The Samarya Center, Evergreen State College, Seattle Juvenile Detention Center, Lake Washington Girls Middle School, Casa de los Ninos, Seattle Kajukenbo, Kung Fu Kids, Ryther Child Center, Gilda's Club, Pacific Association of Women Martial Artists, Friends of the Children, Holy Names, and Seven Star Women's Kung Fu. She holds the rank of 2nd degree black belt in Kajukenbo Kung Fu, is a 500hr Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher, and a former professional dancer.

Tristan also has extensive training and experience working with special needs and high risk populations. She is a certified Integrated Movement Therapy (IMT) therapist through the Samarya Center (www.samaryacenter.org), certified in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), and has additional training in body image, behavior management, family interventions, domestic violence, chemical dependency, SAY kids, trauma, and assault. Tristan has been in the world of social work as a residential counselor, therapeutic movement leader, crisis responder, peer street outreach worker, mentor, tutor, special needs caregiver, and 'big sister'.

Tristan is a 2nd degree Reiki (healing art) practitioner and is certified in CPR, 1st aid and blood borne pathogenes.

                      

Andrea Johnson - Business Manager, is a Bastyr graduate and clinical casemanger at Seattle's DownTown Emergency Service Center. Andrea is passionate about yoga, mountaineering, and helping underprivledged populations.

                      

Alexa Osakki - Assistant Instructor, holds a black belt in Kajukenbo Kung Fu and has been teaching kids and teens of all ages and abilities for several years. She has studied martial arts her whole life and other practices include aikido, eskrima, wing chun and jeet kune do. Alexa also brings experience mentoring and empowering pre-teen and teenage girls.
