Harmony Arts was developed in 2009 to create a diverse and inclusive community that combines holistic movement arts, therapeutic work,  social justice and environmental issues.

Founder & Head Instructor - Tristan Elliott

                

Tristan combines an eclectic background of movement and healing arts, as well as clinical training, and a passion for teaching diverse, special needs, and under-served populations.Tristan has taught, developed, and created curriculum for a broad range of movement based programs locally and internationally, many of which have been combined with clinical/therapeutic work. She holds the rank of 2nd degree black belt in Kajukenbo Kung Fu, is a 500hr Yoga Alliance registered Teacher, and a former professional dancer. Tristan also has extensive training and experience working with special needs and high risk populations. She is a certified Integrated Movement Therapy (IMT) therapist through The Samarya Center , certified in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), and has additional training in body image, behavior management, family interventions, domestic violence, chemical dependency, SAY kids, trauma, and assault. Tristan has been in the world of social work as a residential counselor, therapeutic movement leader, crisis responder, peer street outreach worker, mentor, tutor, special needs caregiver, and 'big sister'.  Tristan is a 2nd degree Reiki (healing art) practitioner and is certified in CPR, 1st aid and blood borne pathogenes.
